Gifts
- Bringing home a treat/pick a flower to surprise me with
- Make a random day a “Special Day” with chocolate, pizza, and beer
- Deliver a gift to my work
- Bring me my favourite coffee/tea during the day
- Hand make a gift
- Make a monthly/weekly gift ritual
Quality Time
- No tech conversations
- Hiking/Netflix/Dinner dates once a week
- Phone calls/Facetime conversations — no texting
- Going to bed at the same time
- Active listening and eye contact with conversations
- Playing 21 questions /Card games/Board games
- Going for a walk together
Physical Touch
- Sending texts describing physically how our partner would communicate using “*” EG: *Comes up behind you and squeezes you*
- Embracing when greeting
- Playing with my hair
- Back Rubs
- Forehead kisses
- Making love with no talking
- Slow dance together (even just in the kitchen!)
Words Of Affirmation
- Sticky notes in random places with loving/encouraging words
- Video/Audio memos of appreciation or gratitude
- Love Letters for celebrations
- Saying the words, “I love you”/”I’m proud of you”
- Speaking softly while making love
- Praise me for what I do or who I am
