We’ve compiled our fav Love Language ideas that we practice as often as we can. Take a peek below and make note of any that you’d like to try!

Acts of Service

  • Running a bath
  • Washing my car
  • Doing the dishes
  • Picking up groceries
  • Making a meal for me
  • Ask me, “What can I do for you today?”
  • Breakfast in bed

Gifts

  • Bringing home a treat/pick a flower to surprise me with
  • Make a random day a “Special Day” with chocolate, pizza, and beer
  • Deliver a gift to my work
  • Bring me my favourite coffee/tea during the  day
  • Hand make a gift 
  • Make a monthly/weekly gift ritual

Quality Time

  • No tech conversations
  • Hiking/Netflix/Dinner dates once a week
  • Phone calls/Facetime conversations — no texting
  • Going to bed at the same time
  • Active listening and eye contact with conversations
  • Playing 21 questions /Card games/Board games
  • Going for a walk together

Physical Touch

  • Sending texts describing physically how our partner would communicate using “*” EG: *Comes up behind you and squeezes you*
  • Embracing when greeting
  • Playing with my hair
  • Back Rubs
  • Forehead kisses
  • Making love with no talking
  • Slow dance together (even just in the kitchen!)

Words Of Affirmation

  • Sticky notes in random places with loving/encouraging words
  • Video/Audio memos of appreciation or gratitude
  • Love Letters for celebrations
  • Saying the words, “I love you”/”I’m proud of you”
  • Speaking softly while making love
  • Praise me for what I do or who I am
