DIY Holiday Gifts

It’s that time of year, sweet friend! And if you’re anything like us, you don’t buy into the myth, “Great gifts come with big price tags”. We like to think that the best gifts don’t come with one.’

We’ve compiled this year’s best DIY Gifts For Couples into the list below and yes, we’ve personally tried and tested all of them! (If you’d like to see last year’s list, CLICK HERE)

Without further ado, let’s get to it!

3. Book Of LOVE Coupons!

This gift is one that keeps on giving! With fun activities, prompts, chores and more, a coupon book is a great gift that let’s your partner choose when and how they’d like to receive them. We’ve even made this one easier and FREE with this printable. Download, complete, and enjoy!

4. Custom/Theme Baskets

This DIY gift can be as extravagant or simple as you’d like. Basically, choose a theme and compile little goodies that fit the theme to fill a basket and you’re done!

We got this basket at the dollar store and filled it with His and Hers items.

Some other theme ideas could be Movie Night, Stay At Home Date Night, Bath Time, Bed Time, Gamer Night, Your Favourite Things, Outdoorsy Fun, etc.

Feel free to get creative and include a nice hand written note explaining your theme and gifts!

5. Date Night Calendar

We did this gift for Valentines Day this past year and we both LOVED it. It’s an upgraded take on the one from last year. We completed a calendar with one date for every month. Check out the photos below.

We designed the months to be a bit of a memory game where we had to remember which month these fun things happen in to find our date.

Then under each month was a specific date that we had to carve out time for in one of our date nights! We’ve also made this one easier and FREE with this printable. Download, complete, and enjoy!

6. Clay Key Chains

This one miiiight be our fav. And we definitely went over board and made them for our friends and family. (If you’re reading this, still act surprised!)

We bought polymer, bake-able clay from the craft store, rolled it, cut it, made a tiny hole, then marked with initials. Then baked it for around 15 minutes. We then added jump rings and key chain rings and it’s good to go! Beautiful, inexpensive, and so much fun to make!

7. Custom Ornaments

This has become a yearly tradition around our house. Any big life milestone gets a new ornament. Simply find pain ornaments in the colour of your choice, grab a paint pen or gel pen, and write away. Feel free to practice ahead of time if you have a specific design in mind!
